Cookie Policy
Last Updated: 6 April 2025
This policy explains what cookies are, how Daulat Advocates uses them on daulataria.live, and what choices you have. We have tried to keep the language as plain as possible — legal websites should not be exempt from plain English.
1. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It contains information — for example, whether you have accepted our cookie notice — which the site reads on your next visit.
Cookies serve several practical purposes:
- Keeping track of preferences you have set (such as cookie consent).
- Understanding how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Enabling third-party tools — such as analytics — to function.
Cookies do not run programmes on your device and cannot carry viruses.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always ActiveThese are required for the website to work. They record your cookie consent choice and maintain basic security. Without them, certain features cannot function. You cannot disable essential cookies.
Examples: cookieConsent (localStorage key storing your preferences)
Duration: Persistent (until you clear your browser data)
Analytics Cookies
OptionalThese help us understand how visitors interact with our site — which pages are visited most, how long people stay, and where they navigate from. We use this to improve content and structure. Data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals.
Provider: Google Analytics (anonymised IP)
Duration: Up to 24 months
Marketing Cookies
OptionalMarketing cookies may be placed by advertising networks to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other platforms. We do not currently use behavioural advertising but these cookies may be set by third-party scripts if enabled.
Providers: Google Ads, Meta Pixel (if active)
Duration: Session to 90 days depending on provider
Preference Cookies
OptionalThese remember choices you make to personalise your experience — such as language or region settings. They are not currently in active use on this site but may be set in future updates.
Examples: Language preference, display settings
Duration: Up to 12 months
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers:
- Google Analytics — website usage statistics. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps — embedded map on our homepage. Subject to Google's cookie and data practices when the map loads.
- Advertising Networks — only if marketing cookies are accepted; may include Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking.
4. Cookie Duration
Session Cookies
Exist only while your browser is open. Deleted automatically when you close the browser tab or window. No information is retained after your session ends.
Persistent Cookies
Remain on your device for a set period — from a few days to up to 24 months depending on the cookie. They are deleted at expiry or when you clear your browser data.
